E.J. Churchill Boxlock Ejector 12 bore, manufactured in 1897 during the first decade of the firm’s operation — two years prior to Robert Churchill joining his uncle’s business. Robert, the nephew of founder Edwin John (Ted) Churchill, would later establish the firm’s reputation for the famous 25" XXV model and the distinctive narrow, raised Churchill rib.
This early example features 30" barrels with a swamped file-cut rib. The gun is tight on face, with clean and bright bores, Ejectors in time, and barrels that ring with a clear church bell tone. Modern Nitro re-proof at 850 BAR. Mechanically excellent. Meticulously maintained in the UK, this is a well-preserved example of an early Churchill, offering field-ready reliability and collector appeal.
